A6 1500GT Pininfarina Prototipo

1947

To finance the costs of Automobile racing, MASERATI created its first "Stradale" based on the racing 6CS in 1947.

The Pininfarina prototype is presented at the Geneva Motor Show.
the A6 innovates: futuristic lines, tubular chassis, Plexiglas sunroof, side-opening engine bonnet and headlights concealed under electric hatches.

The engine is a 6 Cyl in line of 1488 Cm3, which gives 65 HP with 1 carburetor, 90 HP with 3 carburetors.

A modified production model will be available in a series of 60 copies.

Note that the 3 air vents on the front fender were already there!
