A6GCS Berlinetta #2060/2089

1954

At the end of 1953, Pininfarina produced a "Berlinetta" on an A6GCS/53 chassis for a special order from Guglielmo Dei, a MASERATI agent from Rome whose customers wanted to be sheltered during the races.

Only 4 examples of this magnificent car were built between the end of 1953 and 1954. Its concave grille separated from the headlights was a source of inspiration for the design of the shield of the current Granturismo.

Chassis #2060 was presented at the Paris Motor Show in October 1955, in a dark red livery with a blue stripe, a plexiglass windshield and an air inlet on the hood.
Its owner had it modified into Barchetta Fiandri. The body of #2060 was combined with chassis #2089 in 1957 and appeared in various colors and was restored to its original form in 2000
