In 2008, Maserati created a more muscular version of its new coupe: the Granturismo S.

On the aesthetic side, the magic line of Pininfarina is adorned with "black" lights, sports side skirts and a rear spoiler, fits 20-inch "Neptune" wheels and is fitted with an oval exhaust. All giving a more aggressive look to the design.

It is on the mechanical side that the changes are radical: the F430 V8's M139S engine of 4.7l for 440hp, F1 robotic gearbox in the rear position, 47/53 mass balance, firmer suspensions and sport exhaust with valves.
The more sporty and angry behavior of the beast was a great success upon its release.
