Alfa Romeo 159

2005

The Alfa Romeo 159 is a luxury sports sedan manufactured by the Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo, a subsidiary of the Fiat Automobiles group, from 2005 to 2011 with the exterior styling produced by Giorgetto Giugiaro in collaboration with the Centro Stile Alfa which gives it a Latin aesthetic character. , dynamic and assertive.
The 6-cylinder engine comes from a Holden base in Australia but has been reworked at Alfa Romeo in Italy for the top-engine.
In 2005 the station wagon version was launched, called Sportwagon and in 2008, the 159 sedan and station wagon were restyled.
On September 2, 2011, Alfa Romeo announced the end of production of the 159 at the Pomigliano d'Arco plant, where the all-new Fiat Panda will now be assembled. Too high a price and marketing errors cut short his career.
