Quattroporte II
1974
In 1970, production of the Quattroporte I (Tipo AM 107) stopped.
The following year Pietro Frua produced a Quattroporte Frua based on an Indy 4900 (Tipo AM 121).
Citroën blocked this project after only two units had been built and imposed its Quattroporte project with a front V6 engine (that of the SM), on an SM Opera chassis (4 doors) and equipped with Citroën technologies on a design by Gandini for Bertone.
Very comfortable but lacking in power, there are only 12 examples produced before the liquidation of Maserati by PSA
