8CM
1933
Although featuring classic features, the 8CM, a racing single-seater designed by Ernesto since Alfieri's death, had dual-circuit hydraulic braking and an Elektron oil tank.
The chassis was reinforced at the request of Tazio Nuvolari for better road holding just before the 1933 Belgian GP, which he won by replacing Campari at short notice!
The 8-cylinder in-line 3-litre engine aided by the Roots compressor produced up to 280 hp at 5800 rpm and allowed a maximum speed of 270 km/h!
The model presented is the one driven by Nuvolari at the 1934 Spanish GP where he retired in an accident on the 19th lap.
