4CM 1500
1934
The 4CM 1100 produced in 1932 broke speed records in the hands of Giuseppe Furmanik, in a prepared and streamlined version.
Two years later, Maserati will equip the 4CM with a 1500cc 150hp engine with a Roots compressor which allowed 230 km/h!!
Very popular for its reliability and ease of maintenance by Maserati customers, with a non-detachable cylinder head and hydraulic brakes, nevertheless retaining rigid axles and leaf suspensions.
Little developed thereafter, it had little success in competition.
The model shown is Furmanik's 4CM 1100 (#1120) modified to 4CM 1500 for Gino Rovere.
