A6GCM 53
1953
The A6GCM born in 1951 is a formula 2 direct heir to the 4CL/50 and the A6GCS “Monofaro”.
Equipped with a 6-cylinder in line of 2 liters developing 160 hp for a weight of 550 kg, it rivals the Ferraris of the time and allows 250 km/h!
A version 2, which appeared in 1953 and developing 200hp, will allow many places of honor and several victories, including those of the GP of Syracuse at the hands of Emmanuel de Gaffenried and at Monza at the hands of Fangio during season 53.
This version is also called A6GCM "interim" or A6SSG.
The car presented is that of the Swiss driver De Graffenried at the 1953 German GP where he finished 5th.
