Tipo 61 Drogo
1963
The last of the 22 Tipo 61, # 2472, will be rearranged following an accident during the race.
The bodywork work will be entrusted by the driver Lucky Casner to Piero Drogo who designs a thin car, slender with protruding edges, contrasting with the curves of the Birdcage.
On the mechanical side, the fixed rear axle is replaced by independent wheels, everything else is kept.
She took part in several races, made a nice 2nd place at the 12h de Reims in 1963, then competed in the Brands Hatch Guards Trophy the same year, driven by Lucky Casner, she did not finish the race.
She is now at the Panini Museum among other prestigious Maseratis!
