Tipo 65

1965

The Tipo 65 was ordered from Maserati by Colonel Simone after the terrible fatal accident of Lloyd Casner at the wheel of the Tipo 151/3.

Prepared in less than two months, the Tipo 65 adopts a V8 engine of 5 liters / 430 HP in the central rear position, a "Spider" body and a flat and truncated rear. Despite its 350 km / h peak, it is far from the leading roles at Le Mans 1965 and gives up on leaving the road on the 4th lap of the race.

Despite modifications to the rear suspensions, the project was abandoned and only made a few races in his career.
