Gransport Trofeo Light
2005
Following the success of the Maserati Troféo series, based on 4200 coupés prepared for racing, then subsequently modified Gransport coupes, an evolution intended to compete in the FIA GT championships will be developed from 2005.
Developed by the racing department and built in collaboration with Italtecnica, the Maserati Gransport Trofeo Light is, as its name suggests, lighter than its predecessor (1150kg dry), and more powerful with a V8 which produces 430hp at 7000rpm. mn, coupled to a 6-speed "Cambiocorsa" robotic gearbox.
The Gransport Trofeo Light will be entered in GT3 until the arrival of the Granturismo MC which will replace it.
