Mostro Zagato
2015
Presented in 2015 at the Villa d'Este Concours d'Elegance, the Mostro Zagato concept is a reinterpretation of the 1957 Costin-Zagato 450S which raced at Le Mans driven by Stirling Moss and which thus celebrates in its own way the 100 years of Maserati.
The superb design that we owe to Norihiko Harada is original and fluid: the long hood, the rear-set passenger compartment, the enormous spoiler inspire speed.
Based on the architecture and engine of the Granturismo, it is equipped with a Gilet brand carbon chassis. On the engine side, the 4.2-liter 420hp V8 of the Granturismo is at its heart.
The car has no driving aids and weighs less than 1000 kg empty. It’s a real monster to drive!
Only 5 examples were built.
