Boomerang 00

1971

The Maserati Boomerang was created by Giorgetto Giugiaro (Ital Design) on a Maserati Bora chassis-engine.
Its angular trapezoidal futuristic sci-fi style, with fastback rear, dashboard integrated in the center of the steering wheel, power steering, pop-up headlights, and Maserati trident on the hood, is inspired by the "Edge" trend of design from the 70s.

The miniature version here in red-orange presented at the Turin show in November 1971 does not yet have its concentric steering wheel, nor engine.

This concept car will be repainted in silver gray and will be powered by a 4.7 L, 310 hp, 4.7L, 310 hp, rear mid-engine, double overhead camshaft (DOHC) V8 from Maserati Bora, for nearly 280 km / h of top speed
